What is a Personal Chef?
A personal chef cooks customized meals for a number of different clients. A private chef usually works for only one family. A Personal Chef works on-site in the client’s kitchen, bringing with them their own equipment, having shopped for the freshest ingredients before arriving. After a day of cooking, delicious dinners (or lunches!) are left in well-labeled packages, to be enjoyed throughout the following week or weeks.
Who uses a Personal Chef?
Many different types of people enjoy the services of a Personal Chef: busy families, traveling moms, single professionals, health conscience couples, cooks who are tired of cooking, people who like to entertain but don’t like to cook; dieters; people tired of fast food, new moms, bridge groups, older couples; young professionals…really, anyone who enjoys eating!
Is it expensive to hire a Personal Chef?
Although it can be a luxury service, there are a variety of packages available to appeal to the budget minded, as well as those who want more pampering.
How does your service work?
For our full service, after a thorough interview to determine tastes, preferences, allergies, etc., a menu will be put together with exactly your tastes and needs in mind. On cooking day, I’ll shop for fresh meats, vegetables and other ingredients, and arrive at your house with all of my own cooking equipment. There’s no need for anyone to be home, as I spend the day creating the delicious meals on your menu. The dishes are then packaged and labeled, and a detailed menu left for you, with heating instructions and side dish suggestions. All I leave behind is a refrigerator or freezer filled with meals for you to enjoy throughout the week or month and the tantalizing smells of great food!
